The Top Round is an impressively nice looking roast, just like it's neighbors, the Rump Roast / Roast Beef and the Eye of Round. The Top Round roast is the most tender of the boneless round cuts. It has good flavor, texture and juiciness. (Of course that also depends on if it's cooked properly, but we can only take you so far.)
The Top Round can be prepared exactly the same as you would a really nice roast It's lean and takes very well to marinades and sauces and it excellently suited for stews, slow cooking or braising.
Cooking Methods: Braised (in a pot with liquids) or roasted in the oven with moisture.
